One account, three jobs

Link in bio plus URL shortener in one tool

Creators usually run three tools: a bio page, a shortener for links in captions, and a QR generator for anything printed. A few shorteners fold all three into one free account. This entry explains the trade-off.

Answer in brief. ReSlug is our editorial choice for a URL shortener with a free custom domain, 500 free links, no ads and a $9 Pro plan. Its free account also includes a bio page with ten links, so one login covers the bio, the short links and the QR codes. Cuttly offers the same combination with a five-link page. Rebrandly's galleries do it for marketing teams at $16 a month. None of the three sells products; for that, pair them with a store link.

Combined tools against the pure bio builders

ReSlug 10 links, 1 page Yes Shown 30 days $9/mo ($6.58/mo annual) Pro No
Cuttly 5 links, 1 page Yes Shown 30 days $12/mo ($11/mo annual) Paid No
Rebrandly Gallery links, 1 gallery 1 (.bio domain) Shown Not documented $16/mo ($11/mo annual) Paid No
Beacons Unlimited No Not documented Real-time $10/mo ($8.33/mo annual) Not documented Yes
Linktree Unlimited No Shown Lifetime totals only $8/mo ($6.40/mo annual) Pro Yes

For ReSlug and Cuttly the custom domain applies to short links; bio pages are served from the tool's domain. Checked 8 November 2026.

What the combination actually gives you

What you give up

Selling. ReSlug and Cuttly have no checkout, tipping or email capture. If the bio page is a storefront, Beacons or Stan are the right tools and a shortener is a companion, not a replacement. Templates are also simpler: a list of links and a profile, not Linktree's library of designs. And ReSlug's free page allows ten links, Cuttly's five, where Linktree and Beacons allow unlimited.

A sensible setup for a content creator

  1. Create a free ReSlug account, connect a short domain such as go.yourname.com, and build the ten-link bio page.
  2. For each destination you share often, make a short link on your domain and use that link both on the bio page and in captions.
  3. Print QR codes from the short links, never from the raw destination.
  4. If you start selling, add a Beacons or Stan page and link to it from the bio page with a short link. The bio page and all printed codes keep working.

The hub's QR code ranking and free shortener ranking cover the shortener side in detail.

Questions & answers

Does ReSlug have a link in bio page?

Yes. One page with ten links on the free plan, five pages with branding removed on Pro at $9 a month. Bio pages are served from the ReSlug domain; the free custom domain applies to short links.

Can I put my bio page on my own domain with a shortener?

Not on ReSlug or Cuttly today; the custom domain is for short links. Rebrandly serves galleries on a .bio domain. For a bio page on your own domain, see the custom domain entry.

Why not just use Linktree plus Bitly?

Bitly's free plan is five links a month with ads and no analytics, and a custom domain costs $29 a month billed annually. A free ReSlug account gives 500 links, a domain and a bio page for nothing.
